When the Christmas decorations are all packed up and stock taking after the festive trading is done, retailers around the country will be getting set for new product sourcing at the new year shows. First up on the agenda for many is our Giving & Living trade show, where the best of Designed & made in Britain, new Sustainability Stars, and the show’s unique Coastal Path are ready to inspire buying in 2025.

This will be a milestone year for this much-loved event, which is about to celebrate its 60th anniversary in typically friendly and hospitable style. With a fantastic selection of exhibitors lined up, there was never a better time to venture South-West and discover where the gifts, cards, souvenirs, toys and homewares that serve Britain’s lucrative tourist trade are sourced.
The most important show of its kind in the region, Giving & Living attracts exhibitors from all parts of the UK, who are keen to tap into the incredibly rich and diverse retail environment. This ranges from some of the top heritage and leisure destinations in the country, hotels, garden centres and farm shops, as well as a wealth of amazing independent gift shops.
Whilst the fabulous Coastal Path evokes seaside scenes and beach life for those who’ve never seen it, seasonal essentials and summer accessories are only part of this offering, which celebrates the countryside and outdoor living in all its forms. With a wide range of exhibitors at the show, you’ll find gorgeous clothing, knitwear, jewellery and gemstones, region-specific souvenirs, driftwood home accessories, outdoor toys and beautiful illustrative cards and prints, and much more more, bringing a sense of spring, summer and autumn to the depth of winter, in a show which crosses the seasons with ease. This year, the show is delighted to be hosting more clothing exhibitors than ever before!
The 2025 edition of Giving & Living will also feature the Gift of the Year Showcase, to help buyers navigate the wider wholesale market and stay abreast of product trends selected by the comprehensive judging panel.
Locally Sourced, Sustainable & Ethical
Giving & Living will include one of the strongest contingents of British designer-makers to be found at any trade event in the UK, with wonderful local makers from around the country presenting their latest creations. Not only will retailers get a taste of the wonderful artisan scenes produced by the South-West counties of Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, but also makers from as far afield as North Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Cambridgeshire.
Many of these local makers can also consider themselves ‘Sustainability Stars’, thanks to their small-batch production techniques and natural, organic and eco-friendly materials they use to make their products. They form natural exhibition partners with some of Giving & Living’s larger wholesale suppliers, which specialise in fairly traded and ethical goods from overseas.
Mike Anderson, our MD, says: “We have an exceptional array of exhibitors lined up for the 2025 edition of Giving & Living, who are sure to put on a fabulous showcase for our 60th anniversary event. We look forward to welcoming our loyal tribe of regular retail visitors and also want to extend an invitation to buyers who might not have visited our exhibition before. Giving & Living has a diverse and unique mix that you won’t find anywhere else, under one roof in a wonderful venue with free onsite parking. You’ll be first in line to place orders with some of the best suppliers in the business and we very much hope to see you at the show in January!”
