We were really pleased so many people filled in our survey about this year’s show – 420 of you were kind enough to share your opinions with us. We’d like to congratulate Jill Hartnoll from Mortehoe Post Office, who was the lucky winner of the Taste of the West hamper. All your feedback was gratefully received, and is going to help us to make improvements to the show for next year.
We’ve already got some interesting facts and figures back from the survey. 85.15% of visitors placed orders at the show or shortly afterwards, and 55.6% found 3 or more new suppliers. Best of all for us, 92.95% of our visitors would recommend attending the show to a colleague or related business, so we’re definitely doing something right!
Here’s some of the great feedback we’ve had from both visitors & exhibitors:
“All in all, Giving and Living was a successful endeavour. I recommend it to all small businesses based in the South West dealing in the gift trade.” Yellow Publications.
“We were over 50% up on last year and the show has been getting better for me each year with new accounts accounting for about 40% of new orders. We have since even had a further two orders from potential customers that we saw but who didn’t order at the show itself“. David Weiss Gift Time Ltd.
“Good show. Having moved into the area recently we wanted to tap into the South West region and found this a great way of opening lots of new accounts“. Steve Wanless, Zamsoe.
“Very interesting day with new ideas and products“. David Dorland, Haynes Motor Museum.
“Extremely well organised; excellent range of quality products exhibited; well set out and a good atmosphere“. Ian Douglass, Robin Creations Limited.
“We visit for ideas for the coming season on giftware and toy,s along with any interesting new lines/ideas for the coming season. It’s a one stop shop for most things applicable for our shop“. Mike Smyth, Freshwater Beach Holiday Park.
We even had one visitor from Australia!
“Nice mix of products, not too many exhibitors so that you suffer from too many choices, plenty of places to have a sit down and consider your purchases. Found it a very pleasant experience to talk to exhibitors who were very friendly even if their product was not for us. Discovered a lovely card designer who we think we can make use of in Australia to provide a unique product to our zoos and museums“. Patricia Kirby, Science and Nature Pty Ltd.
You may not have as far to travel, or need to plan so far ahead, but next year’s Giving & Living takes place from Sunday 15th January – Wednesday 18th January 2017. Why not put those dates in your diary now, and we’ll see you there!
